June 22, 2012 – Personally, I’m not so sure about that.
We’ve had a guest staying with us for the week, he got lucky, he had reasonable weather, and a couple of fairly nice days, for his stay. That was great for him because he was out hiking the North Shore Mountains every day. And although he did find copious amounts of snow still on the mountains, he stayed mostly dry.
And now that the weekend is here, so is the rain. I’m pretty sure he’s glad he’s leaving today.
Weekends seem to be cruel in Vancouver. Last weekend was the Ride to Conquer Cancer, and those poor souls were drowned during their two days of pedalling. And this weekend the group I work with has two teams in the Tough Mudder.
Last weekend’s group is commendable for their pain, the people in this weekend’s event are just nuts! And with all this rain, the Tough Mudder is about to be a lot tougher, and a lot muddier. I’m not sure why anyone would want to do this, it’s pretty crazy, but check it out ->
